The bill targets all 938 U.S. billionaires, who hold roughly $8.2 trillion combined, and is projected to generate $4.4 trillion over the next decade. In its first year, every individual in households earning under $150,000 would receive $3,000, meaning a family of four could get $12,000. Remaining funds would expand Medicare to cover dental, vision, and hearing, raise the minimum teacher salary to $60,000, cap childcare at 7% of income, and fund over 7 million affordable homes.   ধনীশ্রেষ্ঠ ১ শতাংশের হাতে সম্পদের। ৪০%  16 Jan 2023 গণশক্তি    🔴 আজকের শীর্ষ সংবাদ (অক্সফার্ম রিপোর্ট।) ধনীশ্রেষ্ঠ ১ শতাংশের হাতে সম্পদের ৪০%  16 Jan 2023 গণশক্তি    বিজেপির হিন্দুত্ববাদী প্রকল্পের আগ্রাসী প্রভাব ক্রমশ প্রকট হচ্ছে ভারতে। আগ্রাসী নয়া উদারবাদী সংস্কারের বহুমুখী আক্রমণ, হিন্দুত্ব-কর্পোরেট জোট শক্তিশালী করে দেশের সম্পদকে মুষ্টিমেয় অংশের হাতে দেওয়া হচ্ছে। দেশের অর্থনৈতিক ভিত্তিকে ধ্বংস করে বৈষম্য (inequality)’র বোঝা চাপিয়ে দিচ্ছে ক্ষমতাসীন বিজেপি।  ভারতের সবচেয়ে ধনী মানুষের সংখ্যা মোট জনসংখ্যার মাত্র ১ শতাংশ। অথচ সেই এক শতাংশের দখলেই রয়েছে দেশের গত এক দশকে (২০১২ থেকে ২০২১) সৃষ্ট সম্পদের ৪০ ভাগ! আর ওপরের ৫ শতাংশকে হিসেবে নিলে দেখা যাচ্ছে তাদের হাতে রয়েছে ৬০ ভাগ সম্পদ।  জিএসটি’র মতো পরোক্ষ কর থেকে আয় বাড়ছে সরকারি কোষগারে। আর্থিক দিক থেকে নিচের দিকের অংশের ওপরেই যে বোঝা বাড়ছে, তার তথ্যও পেশ করেছে এই সমীক্ষা। আন্তর্জাতিক মানবাধিকার বিষয়ক গবেষণা সংস্থা ‘অক্সফ্যাম’ (Oxfam) একটি রিপোর্টে ভারতে বাড়তে থাকা আয় বৈষম্যের এমনই এক চিত্র ফুটে...
